NIDS Radar File

NIDS is the format for disseminating NEXRAD radar data. The format compresses the data for easier transmission. WXP handles the major NIDS data types that are broadcast as part of the NIDS data service including radial and rastor images, VAD winds and the storm attribute tables listed in the composite reflectivity product. The rad program will decode and display NIDS files.
